Question of the day: is "Kofemania" on Bolshaya Nikitskaya to blame for Fyodor Smolov's fight?

Krasnodar forward and national champion, one of the top 10 best scorers in the history of the national team and Russian championships, Fyodor Smolov found himself at the center of a scandal. As it turned out today, on May 28 he fought with two visitors of the Coffee Mania on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street in the center of Moscow.
To be honest, the news shocked all football fans. Fedor got into a fight? What are you talking about! During his entire career, the 35-year-old Honored Master of Sports has not received a single (!) red card, while in most Premier League clubs there is not a single defender who has not tried to break Fedor Mikhailovich's legs. And he, always smiling, sometimes childishly open, endured the pain, held back, suffered...
And then, here you go — a puncture outside the football field. The video from the cafe shows that two strong men said something to Fedor, who was already leaving their table. And this something was so offensive that both “well-wishers” received a sweeping blow from the footballer’s fist. And Fedor was not at all embarrassed that there were two of them and only one of him. He worked clearly, quickly, unexpectedly — like from a hand-to-hand combat textbook.

Judging by the details presented in various media and Telegram channels, the company in which Fedor Smolov was was celebrating Krasnodar's championship in the RFPL championship. The historic 3-0 victory over Moscow Dynamo at the Ozon Arena stadium took place on May 24, 2025, and by the time of the incident at Coffee Mania, Smolov was able to return home to the capital.
By 7.30 a.m. on May 28, it can be assumed that the drinking party that began in the champions' locker room with French champagne had already been going on for four days. The athlete's body was broken by a sleepless night. And when, in response to Smolov's apologies after the comments of the cafe patrons, they also sent him away, his nerves could not stand it. He lost his temper. He let his hands go…

But the worst thing is that Smolov knew where he was. That it was in this "Kofemania" that the careers of his friends Kokorin and Mamayev were interrupted. On October 8, 2018, they threw chairs at the creator of "Aurus" Denis Pak and the head of NAMI Gaysin, and before that they also partied all night in a nightclub, beating up the driver of the Channel One presenter. As a result, the football players received 1.5 years in prison. At the same time, their friend Fyodor Smolov publicly defended his colleagues, begging the public and the authorities to "understand and forgive."
However, history repeated itself in a strange way. The ill-fated "Kofemania" seemed to have attracted another famous football player like a magic magnet. It seems understandable: where else can you drink 12-year-old "Bourbon" at 7 a.m., when most catering establishments are still closed at that hour?
But then it turns out that the café hadn't posted the video from its camera for a month, and not for humanitarian reasons or a reluctance to ruin the lives of its famous Soviet clients. Quite the opposite: the video allegedly fell into the hands of blackmailers, who demanded three million rubles from Smolov to destroy the original. Fedor didn't give the money, and here's the result: the entire country saw a "phase glitch."
The blackmailers lost (I wonder who they are and how they are connected to the cafe management?). But the footballer is not to be envied either. True, the police department considered the episode unworthy of opening a criminal case, and the facial bone fracture reported by the "victim" was not found.
As they say, thank God! But the question of whether Fedor Smolov will take to the field in the new season remains open. As was said earlier, he was already planning to retire and become a blogger. After all, in 16 matches played for Krasnodar last season, Smolov scored only one goal.

Well, after the second emergency with the football players, "Kofemania" should hang up a sign for members of the national teams and top clubs: guys, do you want champagne at 1300 euros a bottle or some fist-pumping?
Because it will be better if one does not mix with the other.
Andrey Popelukha, who was one of the participants in the brawl with football player Fedor Smolov in a capital restaurant, shared his vision of the reasons for the incident with REN TV.
According to Popelukha, the conflict broke out after the footballer offered to pay for their order. “There was some misunderstanding. I have no hard feelings towards him. [Smolov] acted like a man and apologized. We all come from the 90s, and this was perceived as normal there. For me, moral and ethical issues were more important,” Popelukha explained.
There are no words to describe how convincing this all is...
